Hypovolaemia
A state of decreased intravascular volume
Hypervolaemia
Aka fluid overload- the medical condition where there is too much fluid in the blood
Normovolaemia
A normal blood volume
Hypoperfusion
A critical condition brought on by a sudden and global deficit in tissue perfusion, results in inadequate delivery of O2 and nutrients to vital organs
Shock
A state of cellular and tissue hypoxia, most commonly caused by hypo perfusion
Dehydration
Excessive loss of body water from the extravascular compartments
Intravascular
Situated or occurring within a vessel or vessels
Intravenous
Existing or taking place within, or administered into a vein or veins
Oncotic pressure
A form of osmotic pressure induced by proteins, notably albumin, in a blood vessels plasma
