What is a specific example of aid?
Haiti EQ 2010, relied on monetary aid from UK, US and NGOs

As UK troops left Afghanistan, many afghans were able to migrate and live in the UK (migration stream)
What is an example of labour?
Almeria- migrants rely on intensive farming for work, intensive farming relies on cheap labour from migrants

China investing in Africa - Nigerian railway
What are flows of capital?
money that moves between countries and which is used for investment, trade and production
What are FDIs?
Investment made mainly by TNCs based in one country, into the physical capital or assets of foreign enterprises
What is aid?
financial support for poorer countries that can be made multilaterally (through the UN) or bilaterally
