Pushback Flow
Trigger: When all exterior doors are closed and cabin is ready for pushback.
- Doors - exterior doors verify closed
- Fuel - verify and verbalize center tank fuel
- Fuel Pumps - all on (ctr off if less than 500)
- Door - flt deck door clsd and locked
- Transponder - alt on, xpndr/xpnder
Pushback checklist and clearance rcvd:
- Beacon - on
Start Flow
Trigger: When cleared and ready to start.
- Pneumatic Crossfeed Levers - open
- Air Conditioning Supply Switches - off
- Pneumatic Pressure - check
88: Check PNEU PRESS gauge for positive pressure.
90: May only be observed after start switch pulled
- ENG IGN switch
- Timer
Delayed Start Procedure
- L PNEU X-FEED VALVE lever - CLOSED
- R AIR CONDITIONING SUPPLY switch - OFF
- Pneumatic pressure - Check
After Start Flow
- Eng Anti-Ice - As req.
- Generator - Check L GEN light off, volts & freq.
- APU - as req. (2 engine taxi)
- Air Conditioning Supply - AUTO
- Engines instruments - check for normal indications
- Hydraulic panel: (single eng taxi)
- ENG pump - on
- AUX HYD PUMP switch - OFF
- TRANS HYD PUMP switch - ON
- Check opposite hyd system pressurized
- L and R BRAKE PRESS in the green
- Hydraulic panel: (two engine taxi)
- All HYD PUMPS - ON
- HYD PRESS & HYD QUAN - normal
- BRAKE PRESS - green
- Pneumatic Crossfeed - clsd operating engine(s)
Delayed After Engine Start:
- R ENG anti-ice switch - as req
- R GEN - Check
- light out
- APU GEN OFF message on
- check AC Volts and Freq
- APU AIR switch - off unless needed for cooling
- R AIR CONDITIONING SUPPLY switch - AUTO
- Engine instruments - Check
- Hydraulic panel - check and set:
- AUX and TRANS HYD PUMPS - OFF - check no loss pressure after 5 sec
- BRAKE PRESS in the green
- L and R PNEU X-FEED VALVE levers - closed unless open for cooling
Taxi Flow
- WDR: check, ZFW, R/W, FLAP TO SEL, TRP, Speeds (bug V1, V2+20, SLAT RET, CLEAN), check EPR. Airspeed command bugged at V2.
- Flaps & slats:
- flap WDR
- handle position
- FLAP indicator value
- Slat T/O advisory light, all others out
- Verbalize: WDR, Handle Pos, Flap indicator, TAKEOFF.
- Spoilers - ARM
- Autobrake - T.O. & ARM
- (when directed) - Aileron and elevator check
Before Takeoff Flow
PA, FA Call and T/O briefing
- APU AIR switch - OFF
- APU MASTER switch - as re
- OAP
- ND to 10 mile scale
- Fuel - quantity greater than MIN FUEL FOR T/O
- Brake Temp: less than 205C, OVHT light out
- Transponder
- L and R PNEU X FEED VALVE levers - CLOSED
After Takeoff Flow
- APU MASTER switch - OFF as req.
- ENG IGN selector - OFF
- FUEL TANK PUMPS - on if have fuel
- Ice Protection Panel - set AIR FOIL/ENG as required
- OAP - check
- Spoilers - down with red placard out of view
- Autobrakes selector - OFF
- FLAP T.O. Selector - 23 degrees
- Flaps and Slats
- Hydraulic Pumps: AUX and TRANS PUMP switches - OFF
- Gear Handle - Down
- ART switch - AUTO
- Pressurization Panel - check
- Air Conditioning Supply - set, temp selectors - AUTO
- ENG SYNCH - N1
Climb Flow
- Altimeters
- Exterior lights - set
- Fuel Quantity vs. Perf Init Fuel (PM)
- FMS OPT cruise altitude (PM)
Level Off Procedure
- Fuel - check: FMS update, fuel distribution, planned vs. actual
- Engines - check N1 indication (88) 76-84%, (90) 72-82%
- Airspeed - Minimum cruise speed - check (speed book clean + 10
- Radio - tune with valid VOR station
Descent Flow
Trigger: 20 minutes prior - Seat belts/ PA
- ENG SYNCH - OFF
- Pressurization Panel - LNDG ALT & BARO, CABIN CLIMB - check
- WINDSHIELD ANTI-FOG - as req.
- AUX & TRANS PUMP - ON - check pressure/quan
- Brake Pressure - check
- Altimeter - set passing FL180
Approach Flow
(PM) Before descending through 10K:
- FUEL TANK PUMPS - Pumps on for tanks with fuel
- FUEL X FEED lever - OFF
- Spoilers/SPEED BRAKE lever - retract
(FO) Before descending through 10K:
- Flight/nav instruments - verified
- Altimeters - x-checked
BA: Bank angle after LOC CAP; H: Heading on MA or R/W; A: upon alt hold, set missed ap alt.
Landing Flow
- (88) ENG IGN - on as req
- OAP - check - rudder travel, others extiguished
- Spoilers - armed
- Autobrakes - as req.
After Landing Flow
- Timer - start
- Flaps - 0
- APU - as req
- ENG IGN - OFF
- Ice Protection - as req
- Overwing Heaters
- Radar - OFF
- SLATS - RET
- Transponder - ALT ON
- Autobrakes - OFF
- Pneumatic Crossfeed - OPEN
Shutdown Flow
- Hydraulic Pumps - AUX and TRANS - OFF

- EGT within 20 seconds
At 40% N2:
- START switch - Release
- START VALVE OPEN extinguished
- N2 stabilized at or above 50%
