Flight Deck Equipment Flow
Accomplish prior to the First Flight of the day, following an aircraft
change, any time the aircraft has been left unattended without electrical
power (e.g., following termination) or is returned from maintenance.
- AML, Forms, Manuals, and Documents - Check
- Landing Gear Lever - Down
- PBE - Check
- Halon Fire Extinguisher - Pressure in green, secured
- Crash Axe - Stowed
- Captain Life Vest - Installed in seat back pocket
- Spare EFB Mount (ERJ-170 Only) - In wall storage aft of Captain’s

- Circuit B r e a k e r s - In or O u t / C o l l a r e d
- Company provided EFB mount - Present
- Captain Escape Rope - Check
- FO Escape Rope - Check
- Company provided EFB mount - Present
- Circuit Breakers - In or Out/Collared
- Spare EFB Mount (ERJ-175 Only) - Installed in Drawer
- FO Life Vest - Installed in seat back pocket
- Jumpseat Life Vest - Installed in seat back pocket
- Landing Gear and RAT Safety Pins - Tactilely confirm 4 on board
- Flightdeck Access System - Check
FO Flight Deck Prep Flow
Accomplished every flight unless otherwise noted
- AML - Check
- FMS Initialization - Set
- Glareshield Light Control Panel - Set (as required)
- O2 and Interphone - Check’
- REVERSIONARY PANEL - Check
- ADS Probes Heater - Set (as required)
- PFD - Check
- MFD - Check
- ACP - Check
- Alt Gear Extension - Check’
- Pitch Trim - Check’
( ‘ denotes must only be accomplished during first flight or swap of the day)
FO Before Pushback Flow
After receiving the cabin ready notification and all doors are closed and armed
- Windows - Closed
- A D S P r o b e s H e a t e r - Out
- Doors - Closed and Green
- Transponder - TA/RA
- Cockpit Door - Locked
FO After Start Flow
After ground equipment is clear, and engine(s) stabilized
- Flight Controls Check - Monitor/Verify
- MFD - Status Page
- EICAS - Check
- FO MCDU - RADIO
After Captain Dallas “Flaps ___, Taxi”
- Flaps - Set Commanded Position
- Nosewheel Steering - Ensure Engaged
Call “Flaps set, Nosewheel Steering Engaged”
FO Taxi Flow
After departing the gate and both engines are running
- Brake TEMPs - Green
- PITCH and TRIM - Set
- Flight Attendants - Notify
After Captain Calls “Taxi Checklist”
- Accomplish Taxi Checklist
FO Before Takeoff Flow
Prior to taking the Runway
- T/O CONFIG - Check
- Runway and FMS - Check
- MFD - Verify
- EICAS Minimum Takeoff Fuel - Verify
- FMA - Check
After Captain Calls “Before Takeoff Checklist”
- Accomplish Before Takeoff Checklist
PM After Takeoff Flow
After flap retraction and prior to 10,000ft AFE
- SLAT/FLAP Lever - UP, 0 detent
- Landing Gear Lever - UP
- External Lights - SET
- APU - OFF (unless required on)
- Accomplish After Takeoff Checklist silently; verbalize
“After Takeoff Checklist Complete”
Climbing Through 10,000ft
Climbing Through 10,000ft AFE
- PM Calls “10,000”
- PM turns off NO ELECTIONS DEVICES switch and STERILE switch
Transition Altitude Flow
Climbing Through the Transition Altitude
- BARO SET - PUSH STD
- PFDs - Crosscheck
PM calls “Standard”
PF responds “Standard”
- External Lights - SET
Transition Level Flow
Descending Through the Transition Level
- External Lights - SET
- FSTN BELTS - ON
- PF/PM BARO SET - -_ SET
- PFDs - Crosscheck
- PF calls for “Descent Checklist”
After the PF cals “Descent Checklist”
- PM wil accomplish Descent Checklist
- PM wil provide the In-Range notification via the MCDU
and provide FA In-Range announcement
PM Descending Through 10,000ft Flow
Just prior to descending through 10,000ft AFE
- PM calls “10,000”
- PM turns on NO ELEC DEVICES switch and STERILE switch
- External Lights - SET
- Flight Attendants - Notified
PF Landing Flow
After extending the flaps to 5 or FULL
- Call for “Landing Checklist”
PM Landing Flow
After extending the flaps to 5 or FULL
- Flaps - Set
- Landing Gear Lever - Down
- EICAS - Checked
After the PF calls “Landing Checklist”
- Accomplish the Landing Checklist
FO After Landing Flow
After the aircraft has cleared the active runway
After the Captain calls “Flaps - Up”
- Flaps - UP (or as operationally required)
- WX Radar - Verify STBY
- ICE PROTECTION - Set
- TRIM - Set
- APU - OFF or ON
- HYDRAULICS - Set
FO Shutdown Flow
After both engines are shut down
- Transponder - STBY
- Jumpseat (if previously occupied) - Stowed and Secured
When Captain calls for the “Shutdown Checklist”
- Accomplish Shutdown Checklist
