What does the male Gymnosperm cone have to produce to fertilize the egg?
A pollen tube, also know as a pollen grain.

Conifers (Cones) , The sperm is also imbedded in the pollen.

Is pollination and fertilization the same thing?
No!
Pollination is when the sperm mets the female part of the plant.
Fertilization is when the sperm finally meets the egg.

How are Angiosperms different from other plants?
They have flowers, fertilization is quicker, and also some contain fruit.
How do Angiosperms “mate”
Through pollination by insects, and birds. Because of this they do not have to produce as much pollen as other plants.
