multiple sources to one destination
what is a network flow map
interconnectivity with multiple locations
what is a distributive flow map
multiple sources to selected destinations
what is a narrative flow map
flow is over time rather than explicitly geography
what is the scaling issue with flow maps
lines get big thick, so having multiple lines connecting at different widths may look bad
how do flow lines play in visual hierarchy
they are the highest with good figur ground separation.
