- 1400 WATER BOUSERS put out to provide clean water
- TEMPORARY DOCTORS SURGERY set up in the council offices which were located on high ground
- Army and fire brigade were dispatched to protect the electricity supply building
- RAF called in to air lift people to hospitals
- Temporary shelters put in place for people who lost their homes

What LONG TERM responses to the 2007 Tewkesbury floods
A
- Peoples houses were rebuilt
- A £4 million river barrier was put up along the RIVER SEVERN to prevent flooding in the future
- Water treatment works were raised to prevent being flooded
- Put a flood warning system in place that would only make noises if a flood was imminent (definitely going to happen)
