Not absorbed from GI but have therapeutic blood levels with IM or IV use.

what is Azactam Unique advantage ?
Unique advantage is the absence of any cross-reactivity between aztreonam and circulating antibodies of PCN or cephalosporin allergic patients.
Can replace aminoglycosides (in treatment of gram-negatives) because it combines the activity of aminoglycosides with low toxicity of the beta-lactam antimicrobials
