Flight Instruments Flashcards
What does Pitot static 3 supply
Sby IAS
Sby Alt
CPAM
How many static ports are there?
6, 4 for instruments and 2 for pressurisation
What do the ADCs supply information to?
Both IC-600s (IC600 1 has the AP)
What does ADC 1 supply? Several points*
FADEC 1A 2A HSCU (supplies CAS) TCAS / Txpnder (Alt) AHRS 1 FMS (TAS) SPS (Mach No) EGPWS (CAS, TAS, ALT, V/S) CPCS (Pressurisation digital controller) Alt trip point for Ice Prot Sys CAS trip point for rudder system Overspeed warning for AWU (aural warning unit)
What does ADC 2 supply? Several points*
FADEC 1B 2B HSCU (supplies CAS) TCAS / Txpnder (Alt) AHRS 2 Wx Radar SPS (Mach No) CPCS (Pressurisation digital controller) Alt trip point for Ice Prot Sys CAS trip point for rudder system Overspeed warning for AWU (aural warning unit)
What makes up each ADS (Air Data System)?
ADC 1 / 2 respectively
Pitot Tube 1 /2 ^
TAT 1 / 2 ^
Two static ports S1/4 (ADS1) /// S2/3 (ADS2)
Where is PS3 located?
FO side
In relation to the PFD, what does the ADS provide?
IAS, ALT and V/S
In relation to the PFD, what does the AHRS provide?
ATT and HDG
Low Airspeed Awareness - When does the white, amber and red bar show?
White - 1.23Vs - 1.13Vs
Amber - 1.13Vs - Vs (Stick Shaker Activated)
Red - Vs (Stick Pusher Activated)
When does the stick pusher activate?
At Vs
With regards to the airspeed comparison monitor, when does it show and how does it indicate?
If shows if there is a diff of 5kt between PFD IAS indications, and it indicates as an amber IAS flashing for 10 seconds, then remains steady
With regards to the altitude comparison monitor, when does it show and how does it indicate?
If shows if there is a diff of 200ft between PFD ALT indications, and it indicates as an amber ALT flashing for 10 seconds, then remains steady
What is the altitude difference allowed between the PFDs and the Backup Alt indicator when entering RVSM airspace?
120ft between both PFDs, 750ft between PFDs and the standby
What mode does the AHRS revert to if power is lost?
Attitude mode
