Flight Instruments Flashcards
How far are the lateral deviations?
VOR: 5 deg/dot
ILS: 1.25 deg/dot
TACAN: 5 deg/dot
How much is the vertical deviation?
.25 deg/dot
What is the standard rate turn/what does the scale and indicator show?
3*
What do the green and white annunciators for the FD mean?
Green means capture, white means armed
When will ATLP switch over to ALT?
300’
What is the upper limit for the radar altimeter?
1500
When can you use IAS hold?
Above 50 kts
What does the GO ARND give you?
Pitch, roll, collective cues and FPS commands to establish a wings level climb for 750 fpm at 70kts
What happens if you press the GO ARND on the cyclic less than 50kts?
It will engage hover velocity
What happens if you press the GA on the cyclic less than 70 kts but more than 50kts?
It’ll capture your current airspeed
When is the LOC displayed on the FD?
When the selected course and actual heading is less than 105*
What does the ILS glideslope on the FD provide?
Will level off at 50’ AGL, which will be taken over by radar altimeter
What does the ILS DECEL MODE provide?
Will decel the aircraft to 70kts prior to the 200’AGL on the GS. It has a .5kt/sec decel rate so it must be engaged with enough time to reach 70kts prior to 200’
What are the 3 hover hold states?
hvr velocity hold, hvr position hold, hvr decel hold
When does HVR DECEL engage?
When airspeed is below 60KIAS, will decel by 2.5 kts/sec
