What is work?
Work is defined as the product of an external force acting on an object and the displacement the force has caused. It is considered as a measure of energy that’s transferring in or out of an object, and it can either be positive, negative, or even zero.
what is power?
Power is defined as the rate of doing work. It is also defined as the amount of energy transferred or converted per unit time.
what are simply machines?
any of the basic mechanical devices for applying a force, such as an inclined plane, wedge, or lever.
what are the 6 types of simply machines?
inclined plane, wedge, screw, lever, pulley and wheel-and-axle
What is energy?
Scientists define energy as the ability to do work. Modern civilization is possible because people have learned how to change energy from one form to another and then use it to do work.
What are types of energy?
Thermal (Heat) Energy. Thermal energy is created from the vibration of atoms and molecules within substances.
