Subsidiary Motion-
Related to the main motion
Incidental Motion
Used to provide proper and fair treatment to all members
Appeal
May be made of any decision made by the chair at the time of the ruling
Point of order
Used when a member believes a parliamentary error has been made.
Division of assembly
A motion related to voting
Parliamentary inquiry
Relates to a question that requires immediate attention and may be made while another has the floor
Priviledge/Unclassified
Unrelated to the main motion
Adjournment
Used when it is time to close the meeting
Postponed definitely
Delay action to definite later date
Refer to a Committee
To allow a question to be more carefully investigated before the group takes action.
Question of privilege
Pertains to the rights and privileges of the assembly or to any of its members
Postponed indefinitely
Not to postpone but to reject the main motion without incurring the risk of a direct vote on it
Recess
An intermission in the day’s proceedings
Lay on the table
To postpone the pending question in such a way that it’s consideration may be resumed at the will of the group
