First appearance before a judicial officer (unless previously released)
Required within 24 hours of arrest.
A nonadversarial probable cause determination for all persons in custody who were arrested without a warrant
Required within 48 hours of arrest.
Defendant is entitled to an adversarial preliminary hearing on any pending felony charge
If not formally charged within 21 days of arrest.
The state must file formal charges against defendants in custody
Within 30 days of arrest; otherwise, the court must order the defendant released on the 33rd day.
Defendants charged with any misdemeanor must be brought to trial
Within 90 days of arrest.
Defendants charged with any felony must be brought to trial
Within 175 days of arrest.
