Describe the Illinois agility test

A

What are the advantages and disadvantages of fitness tests?

A

Advantages:
- Can be easy to set up.
- Can be easy to do.
- Can be done almost anywhere.
- Can be done inside or outside.
- Little equipment.

Disadvantages:
- Need an assistant.
- Maybe a lack of motivation.
- The test may not be done strictly and some wrong measurements.
- Specialist equipment.

Describe the vertical jump test

A
  • Push the wall ruler up as far as possible with finger tips with straight arms and flat feet.
  • Apply chalk to your fingertips.
  • Jump as high as possible.

Describe the 30m sprint test

A
  • One cone at the start line and another 30m away which is the finish.
  • 3 point start.
  • Time is running from start to finish as fast as possible.
  • Start when the timer says go and stop when they pass the finish line.

  • Foot on the side of the planted leg.
  • Hands on the hip.
  • When the criteria is met the timer starts and stops when the criteria isn’t met.
