How to place FS?
- Moisture isolation
- Apply etch for 20sec
- Wash - frosted appearance of enamel
- Light cure - maintain isolation
- Check

Where could place FS?
Risk assess for caries before plan
Placed in primary or permanent teeth
Can be placed buccal pits/ occlusal fissure/ cingulum pits
How to assess a child needing FS?
Can child cope?
Can isolation be achieved/ maintained?
What to use if moisture control can’t be achieved?
Fuji triage
How to isolate?
Gold standard = rubber dam
Cotton wool rolls can be used - buccal/lingual lower - buccal upper
Always use salivary ejector ALL times
What sealant can be used?
HelioBond - clear - good for experienced staff - allow review for caries/staining
HelioSeal - opaque - good as can see airbubbles/ pt can see
What instrument use?
Flat plastic - good fissures
Microbrush - cingulum pit/ buccal fit
What happens if need to lose moisture control?
Need to re-etch
