Fisiology 1: Homeostasis Flashcards
Explain Extracellular fluid
Consist of: Plasma, Fluids of special compartments just (like pericardial fluid, cerebro spinal fluid and liquid pleural) and Interstitial Fluid.
Explain NEGATIVE FEEDBACK
The signals from the controlled systems produces an effect OPPOSITE to the action of the control systems.
*The opposite effect is mainly: INHIBITORY ACTION.
Promotes stability.
Works to decrease the products.
Explains POSITIVE FEEDBACK
The systems responds in the : SAME DIRECTION
Promotes a change in one direction, instability and disease.
Works to increase the products.
What is Feedback Control?
OUTPUT (Feedback signals) from the Control Organ to return to affect or modify the controlled systems.
2 forms: -F.B & +F.B.
Explain Vaso Contriccion
Cierre de los vasos para aumentar la temperatura.
Explain Vaso Dilatacion
Apertura para sacar el exceso de calor, aumenta el volumen de sangre.
Explain the Compensation of the Homeostasis
Internal change results in loss of homeostasis.
The organism attempts to compensate.
Compensation FAILS: Illness / Disease.
Compensation SUCCEDS: WELLNESS
What is Regulation?
The ability of an organism to maintain stable internal conditions of a constant changing enviroment.
How many types of regulation exist?
3
Chemical, Nervous Autorregulacion
EXPLAIN AUTORREGULACION
Balance estable sin perder el control.
What is Feed Forward Control?
Anticipates Change
How many Feed Back Control Exist?
