tiny shrimp crustacians that swim in large numbers and underpin the entire food web of the Southern Ocean

seabirds/penguins/seals/whales
Why is krill fished?
its a healthy protein and is rich in omega 3
What is krill valuable for?
astaxanthin, a carotenoid chemical taken by humans
