What is care under fire?
You are under enemy fire and limited regarding the treatment you can provide
What is Tactical Field Care?
You and the casualty are relatively safe and no longer under effective hostile fire, and you are free to provide casualty care to the best of your ability
What is Combat Casualty Evacuation Care?
This is the care rendered during casualty evacuation
What does CASEVAC stand for?
Casualty Evacuation in non-medical vehicle or aircraft
What does MEDEVAC stand for?
Medical Evacuation
When would you not provide first aid to a casualty?
If rendering aid will put your life in Danger or if you find a casualty with no signs of life
What are the 9 lines of a MEDEVAC request?
Location Radio freq and call sign Number of patients by precedence Special equipment required Number of patients (litter or ambulatory) Security of pick-up site Method of marking pick-up site Patient nationality and status NBC contamination

It is the first care given to casualties before treatment by medical personnel can be made available

Venous - Blood is dark red and flows in a steady stream
