heart attack
may complain of indigestion, pale, fatigue, pain in chest and down arm, make them comfortable, get their medication if possible, call999
asthma
rapid or very slow respiratory rate, grey or blue lips or face, wheezing, one side of chest moving, make comfortable, reassure them, get their medication, call 999 if bad
stroke
Face Arms Speech Time to call 999
vasovagal
put in recovery position
choking
5 thumps to back with heel of hand, abdominal thrusts if need be
road traffic collision
safety, make vehicles involved safe and make assessment, call for ambulance SBARD, keep airways open, immobilise cervical spine, control major haemorrhage, prevent hypothermia, immobilise potentially fractured limbs
anaphylaxis
look for itchiness, rash, swelling of hands or face, can they swallow, dizzy, if known allergic use epi pen
cardiac arrest
unresponsive and not breathing normally, call 99, 30 chest compressions, 2 rescue breaths, continue cpr 30:2, get AED and follow instructions
