DEFINE: TRIAGE
Act of assessing and ordering emergencies with the highest priority first.

Transporting a dsypnoeic patient
Best functioning lung uppermost Or in sternal with padding under chest to raise it minimal handling to reduce stress No pressure on stomach Raise chest Do not hold Cats in carrier - dark and calm Don't let them overheat
Transporting patients with a fracture
Padded and secure cats in carrier - lots of padding fractures leg uppermost cover wound with something clean make a blanket stretcher if necessary Sling if needed Come in to practice to get help, dont move if not needed
Transporting patient in “Status eplipticus”
Padded and secure
Dont allow to over heat
Dont wet them
minimal stimuli - no radio - windows up - cover eyes
WAtch out for being bitten - loss of inhibitions
do not muzzle
minimal handling
