How long should you check a casualty’s breathing for?

What is the purpose of the secondary survey?
To establish the cause/source of the issue and to identify any injuries/wounds.
Explain the process for CPR on an adult.
30 compressions at the rate of 100-120 per minute, at a depth of one third of the casualty’s chest depth, followed by 2 normal breaths (if possible), and then repeat until medical professionals take over.
How many breaths should a normal person take every minute? And/or every 10 seconds?
12-18 breaths per minute, or 2-3 breaths in 10 seconds.
What process do you follow when someone is choking on something?
Firstly, encourage them to cough it up.
Then, give up to 5 back slaps in an upward motion.
And lastly, give up to 5 abdominal thrusts.
If the person is still choking on it, continue this cycle until it is dislodged.
If the situation becomes more serious, then call for an ambulance.
