Describe what to do if the Engine or APU Fire switch cannot be pulled in the event of a fire or emergency evacuation.
Push the fire override switch located beneath the fire switch.
What happens when the Engine Fire switch is pulled?
Shuts off: Fuel, Bleed Air, Generator, Hydraulics and arms the Fire Bottle.
With an engine fire, what three ways can the fire bell be silenced?
Depressing either Master Warning switch or pulling the appropriate fire switch, extinguishing the fire.
What is the meaning of an L/R ENG OVHT light and EICAS caution message?
Engine overheat is detected.

Arms respective bottles (2), turns off the left recirculation fan.

One fire detection loop.

Until the fire is extinguished.
Describe when the Engine and APU Fire Detection Systems are tested?
The system will automatically test the detection system when power is initially applied. The system can be tested manually also.
