Porn: Why the struggle happens
- humans are naturally curious creatures
- they will seek it as a source of knowledge and comparative information about sexual information

Porn: Physiological Desires
- Teens are physically ready for sex sooner than they are ready for social intimacy, and the responsibilities of marriage
- For males there is a biological build up that requires release and this release when tied to pornography can become an obsession
- for women pornography and masturbation are a psychological thing

- porn shops and adult video stores are more restrictive because of age and possibility of being seen

- disrespect towards women
- distorted view of sex

Listen - they wont necessarily open up right away
Empathize - remember when you were a youth
Affirm - remind them that sexual desires are a normal thing
Direct - remind them that it is not easy to abstain from sexual immorality
Enlist - encourage them to devise their own plan of abstaining from sexual immorality
Refer - when you are embarrassed, unqualified, or a different gender than the youth
Definition of Pornography
- Any visual material that shows impairment of the body in a sexual conduct with a child, sexual violence and degradation, and anal or oral intercourse
- anything we use for sexual gratification or escape - whether it was intended for that purpose or not
