Auditory/verbal learning style
A style that involves learning by touching, manipulating objects, and doing things.
Tactile/kinesthetic learning style
Information processed by the left side of the brain, focusing on speaking, reading, thinking, and reasoning.
Left-brain processing
Information processed by the right side of the brain, focusing on recognition of pattern, drawings, music, and emotional expression.
Right-brain processing
People’s view of themselves that forms over time; physical self, the social self, and the personal self.
Self-concept
A phenomenon that occurs when we hold a belief or expectation that affects our behavior, thereby increasing the likelihood that our beliefs our expectations will come true.

The overall evaluation we give ourselves as individuals.

The expectation that one is capable of achieving one’s goals in many different kinds of situations.

A formal statement regarding what a person hopes to achieve during his or her lifetime.
