WW2

A

International SA was torn apart, In Germany and occupied Europe as well as Japan and the lands it occupied.
The SA in Britain served the military and civilians with canteens and Red Shield service clubs.
Army in the USA worked under USO which included Red Cross, YMCA, and Jewish and Catholic services.

After War General Orsborn pledged renewal of Army’s fellowship mostly by visiting Army territories espeically those being affected by the war. Re instituted the Staff College,

Social services after WW2

A

Harbor Light corps; established specifically in these areas of the cities ministered to men and later women who had addictions or were homeless for other reasons. The first was begun in Detroit in 1946 by a converted former alcoholic, Major Tom Crocker
ARC had its beginnings; in 1944 centers began to use AA 12 step program with spiritual emphasis.
Women’s social services; maternity homes, hospitals, children’s homes, and day nurseries.

Bramwell Booth

A

Bramwell Booth has become General in 1912 on the promotion of glory of his father, under Bramwell’s leadership the army opened in 25 new countries, remembered as the young peoples general, started the first Y.P. councils, forced Booth-Tucker to retire, wounded many like Evangeline Booth with his attitude, major concern about Bramwell was nepotism, Bramwell’s wife was Florence Soper Booth, What was acceptable in his father’s time was no longer acceptable in the 20th century.
