Nephron
Main functional unit of the kidney. Each nephron is composed of blood vessels and renal tubules. Each kidney has over 1 million nephrons
Hows urine made? Glomerular filtration
Blood comes to the kidneys via the renal artery they than branch into smaller arteries, arterioles then capillaries called glomerulus
glomerulus- nave semipermeable membrane that filters blood into the bowman’s capsule (c shape structure of renal tubes)
