A

Wanted to work with dominions and Great Britain to combat the depression.

Overall, the conference had failed, but Canada did gain a limited preference in the British market for its wheat, lumber, apples, and bacon. In return, Canada gave preference to British manufactured goods by raising the level of the general tariff on all but British goods.
