Films and Screens Review Flashcards
Increasing FILM speed causes?
more radiographic density per unit of exposure, therefore less mAs needed to create film density
faster films are not able to produce as much detail as slow films
increasing SCREEN speed causes
more image density per unit exposure therefore less mAs needed
faster screens are not able to produce as much detail as slower screens
Too much or too little density does what?
masks the true scale of contrast. when film density is suboptimal we are not able to determine wheather contrat is too high too low or perfect
Fog may be caused by what?
-secondary raidiation
-accidental radiation exposure
-too much or not enough time temperature or titration
-darkroom chemical fumes
safelights for too long
light leaks in darkroom
excessive film age
too much high film storage temp or pressure
