the measurment of the width and height of the frames
your resolution depends on the aspect ratio you’re shooting

EXAMPLE: fade to black = period

a quick picture to tell you where you are and to orient the viewer and what’s going on. near the beginning of the scene
closeup
see a lot of emotion on someones face
wideshot
shows people head to toe, that also establishes the space
POV shot,
we are from the point of view of the character, when we’re trying to convay what the character is feeling
birdseye view
from looking above, a sense of floating or omenince
why do shots matter
every single show tells the view what’s going on. the visual tells a huge part of the story apart from the dialog
