- What does the BUTTON TOOL do?
it creates a button that when clicked tells FM to do what you’ve programmed the button to do, such as open another record, go to another field, etc.
- What does the FIELD CONTROL TOOL do?
it lets you determine everything that’s important about a field (except what’s inside it), such as placement, shape, size, etc.
- What is the TAB CONTROL TOOL?
Allows TABS in your layout so you can have much more info without clutter.
- What is the PORTAL TOOL?
Creates PORTALS, which show data from a different TABLE right on your layout.
- What is the difference between the FIELD TOOL and the FIELD CONTROL TOOL?
Not much, but the FIELD CONTROL TOOL offers a bit more options up front.
