Q

When white blood cells come across an invading microbe they have three lines of attack.

A

Consuming them - White blood cells can egulf foreign cells and digest them
Producing Antibodiess- The invading cell has unique molecues (antigens) on its surface, when your white blood cells comes across a foreign antigen they start to produce proteins called antibodies to lock on and kill the invading cells.
The antibodies produced are specific to that type of antigen, antibodies flow all around the body to kill all similar bacteria or viruses. If the person is infected with the same pathogen the white blood cells will rapidly produce antibodies to kill it.
Producing antitoxins - these counter toxins produced by the invading bacteria

involves injecting dead or inactive microoragnisms, these carry antigens which cause your body to produce antibodies to attack them.
