Area managed by Colin Glen Trust and there is a well maintained gravel path which runs along the course of the river
What type of river is the Colin River?
A spate river
Due to the fact that the Colin River is a spate river, what will happen when there is heavy rainfall and because of this what type of week did we choose to go?
There will be an increase in the rivers velocity and depth.
We chose to go on a week in which there wasn’t heavy rainfall events
Because the Colin River is a natural river, what does this mean we will be able to collect?
Data that suitable for testing our hypotheses and achieving the aim of our investigation
Why were there gabions at the Colin River?
To protect public paths
Why was there channel straightening at the Colin River?
To help protect the Colin Glen Road area from flooding
