Difference between fever of unknown source vs unknown origin

A

Unknown source = <8 days without any obvious cause on Hx and PE
Unknown origin = > 8 days without any findings on diagnosis, visits and studies

What is MIS-C?

A

Multisystem-inflammatory syndrome in children.
Age <21 present with:
Fever, lab evidence of inflammation and multi-system illness requiring hospitalization AND no other plausible diagnosis AND recent COVID 19 infection w/in 4 weeks of onset.
