A
- Nobles and gentry were expected to provide and command troops in support of the king.
- Motivation to fight as they would gain land.

A
- Command was not decided by ability or experience, just by peoples titles.
- Nobles didn’t like following orders so often ignored commands, resulting in loss.

What were feudal knights
A
-A soldier or knight who performed well in battle would be rewarded with a raise in rank or land by the king. Knights would get manors.
