What happens in the Feudal system?
The feudal system is (also known as feudalism) is a social and political system in which landholders provide land to tenants in exchange for their loyalty and service.

Hierachical system with people with different roles and power

Ruler of a country, owns the land and is at the top of the hierarchy

Wealthy, more educated (2nd level of the hierarchy)

People who fight for nobles and the king (warriors)

Poor people and the lowest in the hierarchy, mostly work in fields, aka serfs/villain
role of kings in the feudal system
The king owned all the land in the country and made the laws.-He gave an area of land called fife to rich lords and nobles.
What did nobles and lords give to kings in return?
In return, the lords and nobles agreed to supply the king with soldiers and horses for his army.
What did the nobles do in the feudal system?
The nobles gave some land to professional soldiers.
What did the knights do in the feudal system?
The knights fought for the nobles and king

Peasants worked the land for the nobles and knights in return offered them protection.
