Do you often celebrate festivals in your culture?
Well In general I have to say that we used to have a lot of festivals. But nowadays we celebrate only few of them.
We are losing our traditional way of celebrating festivals. I remember the hustle and bustle in my home before and after festivals when I was a kid. Things have changed now.
Our hectic lifestyle is major thing that need to be blamed, also since most of the families are nuclear it becomes very difficult to follow the rituals of celebration.
What do people usually do during festivals?
Well I have to say that It depends on what kind of festival is.
However, there are still some general things that we usually do on any festivals such as cooking and eating together or visiting our relations.
The other activities likes gifts exchange or giving money to kids are done on some specific festivals.
Which is your favourite festival?
My favourite festival is lunar new year. It is the most important festival in my country. I love this festival because it brings a long holiday to us to enjoy ourselves.
In addition to this, new year is the best time for people to get together. During the festival we have many parties with our family, relatives and friends.
Do you think festivals are important?
Well in some way it’s fairy important. Especialy when you consider the fact that celebrating festivals can sustain the rich culture and tradition of our Country.
Moreover, festivals can enhance the mood of our people and this is the time they get together with their relatives.
However, a long holliday for a festival might be a waste. And it can harm our economy.
