What are Pinopods and when do they appear?
A
1) Pinopods: They are small ,fingerlike protusions on the endometrial cells
2) They appear between day 19 (when the embryo would arrive in the uterus) & day 21 (Around the time of implantation); persist for only 2-3 days

A
Enhanced via progesterone and inhibited via estrogens

What is the main function of HCG?
A
It prevents menstruation by signaling to the mother that the body is pregnant is maintains the function of the corpus luteum
