A
  • sexual division of labour benefits capitalism
  • women are economically dependant on men and have no access to their money
  • Oakley : when married the women loses her identity, she is expected to carry out housework + childcare, men’s needs are assumed to be more important
  • Breugal : reserve army of labour - women are easy to hire and fire
