what are liberal feminists?
•liberal feminists believe that all human beings should have equal rights
•they believe that equal rights between men and women can be reached through reformism- reformism is the idea that progress towards equal rights can be achieved by gradual and small changes in society
•they reach equality through policies eg the equal pay act
what is radical feminism?
•radical feminists view society fundamentally as a patriarchy in which men dominate and oppress women. radical feminists seek to abolish the patriarchy in a struggle to liberate women
•believe that men are women’s main enemy
•all men benefit from patriarchy and from women’s unpaid domestic labour
what is a marxist feminist?
marxist feminists believe inequality between sexes is caused by capitalism
what is difference feminism?
difference feminists argue that women are not a single homogeneous group eg black feminists
