X-Linked Genetic Disorders
X-linked genetic disorders means that the gene causing the trait or the disorder is located on the X chromosome. Females have 2 X chromosomes; males have one X and one Y.

Estrogen and progesterone are the two main sex hormones that women have. Estrogen is responsible for female physical features and reproduction. Men have estrogen, but in smaller amounts. Progesterone is produced mainly in the ovaries. It’s a crucial part of the menstrual cycle and maintenance of pregnancy.
