Describe the protocol for giving kitten vaccines:

A

FVR (Herpesvirus), C(Calicivirus) and P(Panleukopenia virus) - injectable or intranasal vaccines are available:

  • Early as 6 weeks → every 3-4 till 16 weeks OR after 16 weeks 2x but 3-4 weeks apart
  • Booster 1y after initial dose
  • Every 3 years after that

Rabies (injectable or transdermal):

  • Once @ 12 weeks → booster 1 y later
  • Every 1 or 3 years after that depending on the product
