A
ELSIA snap test identifies FeLV or its antigens
use whole blood or serum

Treatment of FLV
A
most cats die within 3 years of diagnosis however with regular check ups and vet care they can last longer and help prevent secondary infection
- there is no cure

What should happen with FLV cats?
A
infected cats should be kept indoors and neutered

Is there a vaccine to prevent FLV?
A
YES new kittens over 8 weeks should be jabbed
