Can you tell me two rules of feeding?
should be done according to work, temperament, and condition. you should feed little and often. introduce new foods slowly
are there any rules, or good practice, when watering horses?
clean fresh water, know how much your horse is drinking.
Could you identify these feeds? (coarse mix, sugar beet, oats, barley, chaff).
1) suitable for light to medium work, easily digestible 2) sugar beet, socked for 24 hours has a lot of fiber, helps with weight gain 3) should be boiled! has a lot of nutrients in bulk, to put on weight. 4) chaff is so they have to chew, to stop them eating too fast.
Are all mixes or chaffs the same?
no, it is widely nutrient content, molasses straw is too high in sugar
what type of feed do you feed to your horse

why is it important to feed your horse bulk or forage?
fibre necessary to keep the horse’s digestive system functioning properly

chopped grass/ grass nuts
When might it be suitable to feed haylage instead of hay?
when allergic to dust, for more protein take in.
