Giving information about a persons performance which is used as a basis for improvement

To make sure people are performing as expected and to highlight strengths and areas for improvement

- Situation

Based purely on facts so that individuals can understand the effects of their behaviour

What are the steps in the Pendleton model?
A
- Check that the employee wants and is ready for feedback.
- Let the employee give comments/background to the behaviour or situation that has been observed.
- The employee identifies what went well.
- The manager identifies what went well.
- The employee states what could be improved.
- The manager states what could be improved.
- The employee and manager agree on an action plan for improvement.
