-registered with DEA or exempt from registration
-employee of hospital under registration of hospital that is registered with DEA

True-can be transferred ONE time prior to first fill electronically. Thereafter all refills must be filled at that pharmacy.
What federal caution must be on CS?
“CAUTION: federal law prohibits the transfer of this drug to any person other than the patient for whom it was prescribed”
What happens if CII full amount cannot be dispensed in 72 hours?
Pharmacist must call provider to make them aware. No further fills allowed. New Rx needed.
How long does patient have to pick up CII partial fill?
30 days after Rx written
What needs to be on Rx to do partial fills for CII LTCF/hospice?
-record on Rx ‘terminally ill’ or ‘LTCF’
-must fill within 60 days of issuance
remember normal partial CII fill must be filled within 72 hours vs these can do as many as you need
Can CIII-V Rx be oral?

Can you transfer CIII-V prior to being filled?
-eRx may be transferred prior to fill BUT then all refills must be there
-if not eRx then nope
What must be on a CS fax?
-date of fax
-name/address/phone num/fax num of prescriber
-institution if applicable (address, etc)
Can a prescriber give verbal order for CII 30 day supply?
No-just emergency period
