What are the immunity rules for the President, judges, and legislators?
A
President
- Absolute immunity for official acts.
- No immunity for acts done prior to taking office.
- Executive privileges not to revel confidential communications. Can be over rode if outweighed by sufficiently demonstrated need in criminal prosecution.
Judges
- Immune for all judicial acts.
Legislators
- Speech and Debate Cl.: Congressman and aides cannot be punished for official acts.
