What are factions and when are they bad?
A
According to James Madison, factions are groups of people with shared intrests that are adverse to the rights of others. Factions are considered bad when they seek to undermine the common good

How could factions be eliminated or limited
A
Factions can’t be eliminated because they’re a part of human nature and society. Factions can be limited when there’s a large and diverse republic, where power is divided among different branches and levels of govt. It becomes hard for one faction to gain complete control.
