What does the fire protection system have capabilities for?
Fire and smoke detection and extinguishing capabilities

What is the purpose of the fire protection test button?
It simulates a fire to check the aural and visual cockpit indications.
What happens if you simulate two tests within 15 seconds if the APU is running?
The APU may shut down
How is the engine fire detection system monitored?
Its monitored continuously
How many extinguishing bottles are there and what do they target?
There are two (A & B) and bottle A targets the engines and B is combined for the engines and APU
How is the APU monitored and controlled?
Through a FADEC
On the engine fire panel, what happens if you push the shutoff buttons?
It will close the fuel, hydraulic and bleed shutoff valves.
What happens if you push the APU shutoff button?
It closes the APU fuel and bleed shutoff valves. Bottle B is also armed
When will the APU shutdown automatically on the ground?
When a fire or overheat has been detected
What are the two scenarios for pushing the cargo button?
If you press it on the ground, it will discharge the high rate bottle but a second push will discharge the metered bottle.
But in flight, the same happens but you don’t need to press the button again. A 2 minute timer will start after the high rate bottle has been discharged
How many configuration sizes are there for the metred bottles?
There are two, 78 mins and 110 mins. Will be on the placard in the cargo compartment
