What are plosives?
Plosives are produced when you hold a bit of air before saying a letter, such as p, t, or b.
What are fricatives?
Fricatives are produced when you control the air stream with a gap in your lips while saying a letter, such as f or s.
What are voiced and voiceless pairs?
Voiced- a stressed letter eg ‘h’ in they
Voiceless- an unstressed letter eg ‘h’ in thin
What is it called when the lips create a certain sound?
Bilabial
