Puyallup River
northeast of St. Paul Waterway, discharges the water of Puyallup River. The waterway has shoaled to such an extent that it cannot be used commercially.
lighted buoy marks a shoal area extending about 500 yards northwest of the entrance.

overhead cable, just southeast of the bridge, has a clearance of 46 feet.
St Paul Waterway

Thea Foss Waterway
westernmost of the channels at the head of the bay; a light is on the east side of the entrance. Two deep- draft wharves and many oil storage tanks are on the east side.

Sperry Ocean Terminals
on Tacoma waterfront, used for layup of ready reserve RoRo ships.
Ruston
is non-commercial, mostly waterfront and parks, has measured mile course between Ruston and Tacoma.
Tacoma
is the 2nd largest city in PS, many large buildings on SE end of bay, has stadium, residential area extends to the NW on the south shore of bay.
